Welcome to my blog! My name is Seth Tenberg and I am an undergrad student at Virginia Tech University where I am studying economics and statistics. I have an interest in economics and finance, particularly monetary economics and the shadow banking system. My goal for this blog is to help elucidate my own miscellany of ideas as I try to make sense of the monetary and financial system in this post 2008 era. Ultimately, I wish to discover, or take steps towards an ideal monetary system that is both pragmatic and sound in theory.

My own economic views were influenced by the Austrian tradition originally, with a more recent focus on the modern financial ‘money view’. I also take interest in politics, with my views being dispersed between libertarian and conservative views. This blog is purely for me to get ideas written down as a means of comprehension, so any comments, recommendations, or disagreements are welcome.
